The weekly programme includes half-day excursions (Santa Clara Island, Igueldo, Aquarium) and full-day excursions Saturday and Sunday (Paintball, beach, Science Museum, Planetarium). They will practice the language outside of an academic environment and at the same time they will enjoy themselves as they broaden their cultural horizons.
Below are some descriptions of a few excursions to give you an idea of what to expect:
-
Santa Clara Island: we will visit the small island located in famous La Concha Bay of San Sebastian. There we will swim, play on the beach and have a picnic.
-
Mount Igueldo: a walk around La Concha Bay will take us to the base of Mount Igueldo where we will catch the funicular that we will ride to the top. After enjoying the views and the theme park, we will descend to find ourselves at an important Basque sculpture, The Wind Comb by Eduardo Chillida.
-
Aquarium: we will enjoy a guided visit that will show us how the inhabitants of this region made their living from the sea by fishing and hunting whales.
-
Science Museum: a fun time will be had as we play with the various games that demonstrate important scientific principles.
